Cosy cottage is a charming village property prepared for the market as a second home and buy-to-let investment. When the project began, the house was completely empty and lacked the warmth and atmosphere needed for prospective buyers to fully appreciate its potential.
The brief was to transform the property into a welcoming and aspirational space while working within a modest budget. With a series of smaller, more compartmentalised rooms, the focus was on thoughtful styling and presentation to ensure each space felt purposeful, balanced and inviting.
Simple yet necessary updates were introduced, including fresh paintwork and carefully considered decorative touches to revive interiors that had become somewhat unloved over time. The home was then fully dressed using a combination of selected stock pieces and items belonging to the owner, creating a natural and lived-in feel.
Soft furnishings, candles, flowers and carefully placed details helped bring warmth and character to the property, allowing potential buyers to imagine themselves living within the space.
The project was managed entirely remotely while the owner was travelling, with Style Luxe overseeing every aspect of the styling from preparation and presentation.
The result was a home that felt welcoming, considered and ready for its next chapter, successfully selling after the very first viewing.
